The best feature about this trend is it can be worn for any occasion given the right accessories. Office wear, casual, for a night out....it's perfect and Costelloe makes this work, especially since the majority of Irish folk live around horses! We all should be experts at this look! Given the fact I live by the Curragh Racecourse and own two horses I feel that I can carry the chicness of it quite well, I already have my riding boots, both for casual and evening attire, along with my cream jodhpurs and checked/tweed shirts :)
In my experience the Equestrian look does indeed exist back home, but just in a different manner. And by that, I mean a more so scruffy manner! This trend back in Kildare involves baggy t-shirts, warm jumpers and dirty jodhpurs. The only garment that does resemble Costelloe's collection would be the massively over-sized gillet but that's as far as it goes :)
Many of the high street stores are bang on trend with this look so nip into the likes of Topshop and Zara for a wee goo! Here's two fabulous blazers from Topshop that I am very tempted to purchase.....Think Preppy. Customise casual blazers with tight trousers/leggings with heels for a night out or a cute skirt for more sophisticated occasions.
